In accordance with the five-year cycle of INTERSCHUTZ the world's leading trade show for fire and rescue services was to be held in Hanover in the summer of 2020. Due to the Covid-19-pandemic the show was postponed to summer 2021 by the organizer. Because large trade fairs such as INTERSCHUTZ require a long lead time for organization but there is still existing planning uncertainty for major events this year, Deutsche Messe AG has decided to open the doors of INTERSCHUTZ first in June 2022. As things stand the announced timeframe is June 20-25, 2022.
"The manufacturers of firefighting technology in the VDMA expressly welcome the postponement of INTERSCHUTZ to 2022. For us INTERSCHUTZ is the industry's most important international trade show. And our expectation is that it will seamlessly continue the great success from 2015. We are sure that the conditions are right for this in 2022," comments Dr. Bernd Scherer, Member of the Board of Management at German organization VDMA , on the new date for INTERSCHUTZ.
Dirk Aschenbrenner, President of the Association for the Promotion of German Fire Protection (vfdb), also welcomed the decision to move INTERSCHUTZ to 2022. He emphasized the importance of the many visitors from idealistic groups for the success of INTERSCHUTZ. Exhibitors also valued the contact with those who use their products and services. The direct exchange between suppliers and users is particularly important for the industry, he said.
